中华归主北东湾教会的历史
2010年3月有几个来自『中华归主柏克莱教会』的家庭，因为居住在 Richmond, El Sobrante, Hercules 一带，成立了「佳 音团契」，聚会地点在两位弟兄家轮流举行，每个月有两次团契聚会。到2013年，团契的同工有负担想要在 Richmond 一带成立分堂，以便能够邀请居住在附近的华人参加教会的活动。根据2010年美国人口普查数据，北东湾一带的城市包括 El Cerrito，Hercules， Pinole，San Pablo，Richmond，El Sobrante， Martinez，华人的人口约为1万2千人，其中的基督徒比例大约只占2%，而湾区的华人 基督徒比例大约是 5%，我们看见这里有一个广大的需要。 植堂的异象渐渐被伯克利母堂的弟兄姊妹所认可，也受到当 时的主任牧师黄天赐牧师的重视，并于2014年2月正式将北东湾植堂列为教会的四大异象之一。2015年1月16日，植堂的筹备工作正式启动，团契的同工开始在北东湾一带寻找场地，直到2015年5月14日找到 Bay Hills Community Church (BHCC) 位于 4950 Appian Way, El Sobrante 的堂址作为聚会地点，并于6月13日开始第一次的团契聚会以及每个月第三个星期六晚上的福音专题讲座。不久之后 BHCC 购置了更适合他们需要的堂址，我们于8月21 日随着 BHCC 一起搬入他们位于 4555 Hilltop Dr, El Sobrante 的堂址开始聚会。场地的问题解决之后，我们终于在2016年1月10日成立「中华归主北东湾教会」（Chinese for Christ North Easy-Bay Church, CFCNEBC），开始星期天早上10:30的主日崇拜。然而到了2016年5月下旬，BHCC 突然通知说他们改变了 原订的教堂整建计划，因此希望我们能在2016年底之前迁出。这个突如其来的变化，使得我们不得不再次踏上寻找下 一个新堂址的旅程。感谢神的预备，到了2016年9月中旬我 们找到了位于 801 Park Central St, Richmond 的犹太人会堂 ，经过一连串的祷告、协调与沟通，2016年12月18日我们正式租用现址的犹太人会堂开始星期天下午 1:30 的主日崇拜 。 感谢神的恩典，又经过半年之后，2017年7月9日我们得到犹太会堂的同意，将主日敬拜改至上午聚会。至此，我们 总算是彻底解决了堂址不稳定与聚会时间不适合的问题，也 终于站稳了脚步，得以专心开展各项事工。到了2021年，北 东湾弟兄姊妹在植堂上的努力，获得母堂的牧执会的肯定，于是决定于2022年1月1日让北东湾教会成为一间独立运作的 教会，但仍与伯克利教会保持密切联系，成为姊妹堂会的关系。我们深信神必亲自带领这新成立的教会，日渐兴盛，成为许多华人家庭的祝福！

The History of Chinese for Christ North East Bay Church
In March 2010, some families lived in Richmond, El Sobrante and Hercules get together and formed a fellowship group called “Good News Fellowship”. They met twice a month at two brothers’ houses alternately.
In 2013, the coworkers of the Good News Fellowship thinking about starting a branch church in the Richmond area and invited local Chinese residence to church activities. According to the government censor, in 2010, the Chinese population in the North East Bay area (El Cerrito, Hercules, Pinole, San Pablo, Richmond, El Sobrante, Martinez) was about 12,000, among which, Christian was 2%. There was a great need to preach the gospel. The vision of starting a branch church was accepted by brothers and sisters at the Berkeley Church, and Pastor Hwang also paid great attention.
In February 2014, in the pastor/decants retreat, establishing a church at North East Bay was listed as one of the four visions of the Berkeley Church.
On January 15, 2015, the coworkers of the Good News Fellowship started looking for a meeting place. On May 15, 2015, we found Bay Hills Community Church (BHCC), 4950 Appian Way, El Sobrante, as our fellowship meeting place. On June 13th, we started our first meeting and on the third Saturday of each month, we also conducted a special topic seminar.
On August 21, 2015, we moved with BHCC to 4555 Hilltop Dr., El Sobrante.
On January 10, 2016, Chinese for Christ North East-Bay Church, CFCNEBC, was formally established.
However, in May 2016, BHCC informed us that we need to move out of BHCC by the end of the year. This led us to search for a meeting place again.
In September 2016, we found the present meeting place, 801 Park Central St., Richmond, and it is a Jewish Synagogues.
On December 18, 2016, we formally rented the Synagogues and started the Sunday worship in the afternoon. On July 9, 2017, we started Sunday worship in the morning. We have finally settled on a stable site with a desirable Sunday service time allowing us to concentrate on ministry works.
By 2021, our church planting efforts have been affirmed by the pastoral council of the mother church. It was decided that on January 1, 2022, the Chinese for Christ North East-Bay Church will become an independent operating church, but still maintains close ties with Berkeley Church as a sister church. We truly believe that God will lead this new church to prosper and becomes a blessing to many Chinese families!
